Prince Edward Island has not always been on the cutting edge. Our attitude toward the acceptance of the automobile, and for a period of time liquor, was long and drawn out. Tonight we put our clocks ahead. It reminded me of a headline I read this winter. It was April 1961 Guardian. The headline read "Protestant Churches stay on Standard Time". I remembered that the city and the country were always at loggerheads over the daylight time issue, but I hadn't remember that there was theological side to the argument, although I remembered them referring to Standard Time as God's Time.
